What was the problem?

OpenGate Counseling & Consulting is Damon J. Laird's substance use counseling practice in Casper, Wyoming. Courts, probation officers, and attorneys refer people to it for alcohol and drug evaluations, education, and outpatient counseling. The practice needed a site that answered the questions those people ask before they call, could rank for Wyoming evaluation searches, and could be cited by an AI assistant when an attorney asks where to get a court-ordered evaluation.

What did we do?

We wrote and built the whole site: a home page, the service pages, a page for attorneys, an intake page, an about page, a resources section with nine guides, and the legal and client-rights pages a healthcare practice needs. Every service page carries the credentials, the Wyoming geography, the phone number, and a set of question-and-answer FAQs, so each page stands on its own when someone lands on it from a search.

MedicalBusiness, Person, Service, FAQ, and breadcrumb schema sit on the pages that need them, and a public llms.txt describes the practice to AI assistants. Contact is a phone call or an email. There are no third-party forms, no plugins, and no database to maintain.

What changed?

The site went live on damonlaird.com in August 2026. It was handed over with the code, the hosting, the domain, Search Console, and the Google Business Profile all in the practice's own accounts, with a one-page guide to publishing a change. A pre-launch Lighthouse run scored the home page 94 for performance and 100 for accessibility, best practices, and SEO.
